few weeks ago someone, who claims to be a Christian, approached me with the idea that it’s okay to be gay. That as a Christian I should change my opinion on homosexuality because God accepts the gay lifestyle and so should I. This person provided scriptures that were taken so far out of context that it was actually scary. However, in their quest to change some minds on this issue they may have actually swayed a few. But, I will not be swayed. There’s no bible evidence that God was ever okay with the gay lifestyle. In fact, in the Old Testament in the book of Leviticus Chapter 18 verse 22 it says it is an abomination.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.
And in the New Testament in the book of Romans Chapter 1 verses 26 and 27 it says this,
v.26,
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their woman did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
v.27, And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
As you can see from the scriptures above (which you can look up for yourself) God is against this type of lifestyle. He does not condone it and neither do I! However, there are homosexual churchesspringing up everywhere. And, in these churches they are praising God and even speaking in tongues? So, does this mean they are of God? Well, not necessarily. Let’s see what 1st John 4:1 says,
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
This verse tells us to try the spirits
to make sure what we are hearing preached is of God. Just becausesomeone is preaching doesn’t mean they are preaching what’s right. And just because someone is speaking in tongues doesn’t mean they are in total harmony with God. Are they living a holy life? Are they preaching and teaching what the bible says? These are important questions that must be answered.
We just can’t go around believing everything we hear. Frankly, that is dangerous. Brothers and sisters, since many false prophets are gone out into the world you never know when even your favorite preacher will take a turn and go down the wrong path. If the blind lead the blind they both will fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:14) So, do not walk around blind. Read the Word of God for yourself. For many in bible timesthought they were doing great things for the Lord but as we can see in Matthew 7: 22 and 23 God didn’t approve of them or of what they were doing.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
These people thought they were
doing God a great service yet Jesus said, "I never knew you, depart from me." Just because someone says they are of God, and just because they appear to be serving Him, that doesn’t mean they truly are.
We must make our calling and election sure. We must do what is right in the eyes of God and not what’s right in the eyes of man only. I know the gays are getting a lot of support from well-known ministries but it doesn’t matter how many people amen their message. If their message is wrong, it’s wrong.
Are Christians Accepting the Gay Lifestyle?
Nearly every time I turn on the news someone is talking about gay rights. For some strange and demonic reason many Christians are getting comfortable with the idea of accepting the gay lifestyle into our communities, our homes, and now our churches. I saw on the news just this morning where another pastor changed his stand from being against homosexuality to being all for homosexuality. He proudly accepts them into his church now. (Like I said, there are homosexual churches springing up everywhere)
How could this happen? How did this happen? How can someone be on the right path and get stirred away so easily. Paul said in Gal. 5:7,
Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Yeah, who did hinder this pastor from obeying the truth? Who convinced him that God is okay with the gay lifestyle and he should be too? It is my guess that he got over into error by listening to the wrong message. Whether it came through a friend or another pastor, there was someone somewhere that got through to him with this false doctrine. He didn’t try the spirits or he would have found what they were telling him was wrong. (1st John 4:1) Like I’ve said before, Eve got into trouble when she started listening to the devil. When she gave ear to him, he talked her into disobeying God.
Children of God
don’t allow this to happen to you. Do not lend an ear to the wrong message. Don’t allow what is being accepted and celebrated on the news, and in the political arena, about the gay lifestyle to sway you. Please take this warning, for some of our fellow Christians have already fallen into error and are preaching that which shouldn’t be preached. Don’t let this happen to you. Be on guard. Just because a well-respected pastor got over into error doesn’t mean you have to follow him. I don’t care who says it, don’t you believe for a second that God has changed His mind about homosexuality. To the contrary, God has not changed His mind. The bible says in 1st Peter 1:25 that God’s Word endureth forever. He doesn’t just change His mind everyday. How He felt about something yesterday is the way He feels about it today, and the way He will feel about it again tomorrow. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
Homosexuality is an abomination
in the eyes of God and anyone who thinks or preaches otherwise is in danger of being cast into the Lake of Fire.
Revelation 20:15:
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Have You Fallen Prey?
If you, like many, have fallen prey to the false doctrine that is hitting mainstream right now. That being gay is okay. That you can serve God and still live with your partner of the same sex. I am pleading with you, turn and run as fast as you can back to God. Never attend another church where this message is being preached. Don’t allow it to ever fall on your ears again.
I’ve had people to send me Websites to visit and books to read. They say, if you read this book or visit this Website you’ll change your mind about the gay lifestyle. Why would I want to change my mind? Why in the world would I want to set myself up like that? When you already know something is wrong then stay away from it! That’s the intelligent thing to do.
Scriptures Don’t Support Same Sex Relationships
God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth. (Genesis 1:28) Two males can not multiply and neither can two females. If things were to actually go the way the homosexuals want it to, God’s entire creation would become extinct. So we all know that God never intended for two of the same sex to be together. I heard a preacher say, God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. That’s a true statement if I ever heard one.
Another scripture that points to the fact that God never intended same sex relationships is Genesis 1:24. It says,
Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (This scripture is also repeated in the New Testament in Matthew 19:5)
These two scriptures are clear on what God’s intentions are for males and females. God never intended for two of the same sex to live together as husband and husband or wife and wife. It was never recorded in the bible anywhere that a man should leave his father and mother and cleave unto his husband. Nor does it say that a woman should leave her father and mother and cleave unto her wife. It does NOT say that!
Please people, those of you who are over into error on this important issue, take note. Homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God. God wants you to repent and turn away from your wicked lifestyle. Perhaps you’re not gay but you support your gay Christian friends. Same thing goes for you, repent and turn back to God. As a Christian you must stand on what the bible clearly says. Homosexuality is not of God and those involved in this lifestyle need to be delivered.
In Closing:
Allow me to make this very clear, I do not hate gay people. I know a few people who are gay and although I don’t condone their lifestyle when I see them out I am cordial to them. As a matter a fact, most of them are nice so why shouldn’t I be nice to them? Besides, I know that God loves them just as much as He does me. We can preach and teach hard against sin without hating the sinner.
Bottom line: Do not bash gay people. That doesn’t show the love of God. And Children, we are called to love. We can show our love by not putting them down and gossiping about them when others do. At the same time, when we see them out, we aren’t to pat them on the back and condone their sin either. What we should do is pray for them!
